The impact of a donation to CCV is lasting and directly affects students’ ability to access higher education and to succeed in their educational goals. Whether you donate to a local Student Assistance Fund, which supports students with textbook or transportation costs, or to the Endowment for Student Success, supporting CCV students of the future, every dollar you give makes it possible for CCV students to attend college.
CCV’s annual fund is an opportunity for alumni, friends, faculty, staff and students to contribute to the overall mission of CCV by providing unrestricted resources for new initiatives as well as a variety of operational needs and projects.

CCV Funds
Annual Fund
This fund supports the overall mission of CCV by providing unrestricted resources for a variety of operational needs and projects, as well as new initiatives.
General Scholarship Fund
Every dollar given to this fund goes directly to tuition assistance for students.
Life Gap Grants
Gifts to Life Gap support grants to help students bridge challenging situations and emergent needs that threaten their ability to continue in their studies and stay in school.
Endowment for Student Success
This fund supports deserving students whose chances of success can be strengthened by aid and whose needs are not met by other sources.
Endowment for Life Gap Grants
Established in 2020 in honor of CCV’s 50th anniversary, this endowment is intended to sustain long-term support for Life Gap Grants to CCV students.
Alumni Scholarship
Earning an associate degree is often only the beginning for CCV students. At graduation every year, CCV honors students who are continuing on to earn their bachelor’s degree with a scholarship award sent directly to the four-year college where they matriculate.
Named Endowment Funds
CCV has a number of established named endowment funds that support scholarship awards to students. Often these funds are in memory of a beloved member of the CCV community. Named endowments may be established at CCV with a minimum initial gift of $25,000.
President’s Scholarship
The President’s Scholarship was established to honor students who exhibit sustained academic excellence in their educational journey at CCV.
Study Abroad Fund
Gifts to this fund help students access the life-changing experience of travel through CCV’s Study Abroad Program. Help students develop a fuller and more diverse perspective of their studies and the world, cultivate cultural competency, and enhance career opportunities. These gifts directly reduce course fees involved with studying abroad.
Endowment for Teaching and Learning
This endowment provides a source of discretionary funding to support both new and ongoing academic programs.
Founder’s Fund for CCV
A permanent, unrestricted endowment, created to be as flexible as the College itself in meeting needs and supporting innovations that promote the CCV mission.
Legacy Scholarship
This scholarship is designed to honor former and current CCV faculty and staff members whose work for the College has benefited students, faculty, and co-workers in substantial and meaningful ways. Each year, one or more current or former faculty and staff members will be identified.
In Memory of Karen Clark
Donations in memory of our dear colleague Karen Clark, who passed away on December 12, 2015, can be made through our online giving form to the Karen Raylene Clark Memorial Scholarship Fund under “Named Endowment Fund.”
Thank you for honoring Karen’s memory.
Dear CCV Donors and Friends,
While this has been a challenging year for many Vermonters, we have been able to help so many students with support from our donors and philanthropic partners. Ten students who are single parents were supported by the Buffum Single Parent Scholarship, established with CCV’s first $1 million gift received from the Courtney and Victoria Buffum Family Foundation. Two early childhood educators, both alumni and beneficiaries of CCV’s portfolio courses, achieved recognition through the Vermont Association for the Education of Young Children. We also saw a 70% increase in the number of students with more than 235 high school seniors enrolled in Early College this fall, knowing they are eligible for the Free Degree Promise through the McClure Foundation. And hundreds of students are benefiting from the Life Gap Plus program, now staffed by a dedicated, full-time resource access manager.
None of this would have been possible without your support. This year’s report recognizes our collaborative success: together, we are opening doors to opportunity for thousands of Vermonters, many of whom never imagined that college was an option. On behalf of our students and the entire CCV community, thank you for your partnership.

The scholarship is presented at the College’s commencement ceremony. If you would like to make a contribution to this year’s scholarship, please email development@ccv.edu.

CCV allows students to spend less on college and receive a high-quality education. Within your local community, CCV provides access to college courses and programs that translate to stronger career opportunities and increased earning potential, putting more money in the pockets of working Vermonters. A CCV degree assists families in finding stability during tough economic times and helps prepare Vermont’s workforce for the jobs of tomorrow.
Now more than ever, it is critical that CCV provide opportunities for higher education to all who can benefit.
I hope you will consider making a tax-deductible gift to CCV today. Your generous support is an investment in CCV’s future. Thank you.
With warm regards,
Joyce Judy
President
CCV instructors are working professionals who bring real-world experience into the classroom. Subject theory is balanced with information drawn from instructors’ experiences on the job, which translates into fundamental learning that is tied to real-world applications. CCV students in all programs receive training in their chosen disciplines based on the experience that can only come from professionals working in the field.
At CCV, learning isn’t confined to the classroom. Our students get hands-on training in fields such as computer systems management, medical assisting, and accounting, allowing students to experience for themselves what it’s truly like to work in these fields.
