The Learning & Career Center

The Learning and Career Center at CCV Rutland provides free academic support to all currently enrolled students. This support can be provided one-on-one or in small groups. The Learning and Career Center offers peer mentoring as well as opportunities to work with instructors, and help is offered in basic math, basic algebra, research, writing, proofreading, study skills, and basic computer skills. Students may drop in anytime, without appointments, for help with schoolwork.

The Learning and Career Center is open during the following hours for computer use and studying.

Monday – Thursday                  8am – 9pm
Friday                                         8am – 4pm

Tutors are available for academic support on:

Monday                                     11am – 4:45pm
Tuesday                                    12pm – 6pm
Wednesday                               11pm – 2pm
Thursday                                   11am – 6pm

 

e-Tutoring

CCV students have access 24/7 to an online tutoring service. eTutoring is a collaborative, online tutoring program sponsored by the Connecticut distance learning Consortium. Students can submit papers to the eWriting lab for review and will have their paper returned within 24-48 hours with advice and suggestions for improvement. There is also eChat: a live chat feature that connects you with a tutor. Students can access eTutoring with their CCV login and username.
