Parking & Transportation

Parking at Abenaki Garage

Students who drive to campus and would like to park in the Abenaki Garage must register with CCV and obtain a parking permit. A permit allows you to park in the garage at 1 Community Way without paying the hourly parking fee throughout the semester. The garage is conveniently located behind the CCV building and provides easy access to campus.

Permit holders should enter the garage from Abenaki Way and park on the 3rd level only.

The garage is well-lit and regularly used by students, faculty, and staff. As always, please remain aware of your surroundings and practice general safety precautions when traveling to and from your vehicle.

To request a parking permit, you will need to provide:

• Your vehicle’s license plate number(s)
• The make and model of each vehicle
• The state wher each vehicle is registered

Students may register up to two vehicles under a single parking permit per semester. Your license plate serves as your permit, so no physical pass will be issued.

Vehicles parked without a valid permit may be subject to ticketing.

Pay by Hour

Street parking is limited to two hours and is strictly enforced by the City of Winooski. Students that pay for parking by hour have a choice to park in the Winooski Garage or the Abenaki Garage.

Parking Fee

Parking privileges are available for a nonrefundable fee of $50 per semester. Once you submit your online parking registration, the fee will be added to your student account.

Please allow up to two business days for your parking privileges to become active after submitting your request.

Parking permits are valid through the end of the semester, ending on the last scheduled day of classes. Students who wish to continue parking on campus must renew their parking privileges each semester.

CCV Parking Lots

Students and staff who drive to campus should park in the Abenaki Garage using a valid CCV parking permit or by paying the hourly parking rate. The visitor parking lot off East Allen Street is reserved for visitors, faculty with valid parking permits, and individuals displaying a valid accessible parking placard.

Visitors include prospective students who are not yet enrolled, guest speakers, vendors, and other campus guests.

Visitors using the East Allen Street lot are asked to stop by the front desk upon arrival to receive a temporary parking pass. To help ensure parking spaces remain available for visitors, vehicles belonging to students and staff parked in the visitor lot may be subject to ticketing.

Dropping Off at CCV

When dropping off or picking up at CCV, please utilize the Abenaki Garage or 15 min street parking for close proximity to campus. Please do not block bus or bike lanes, when coming to pick-up or drop-of students. We ask that those picking up or dropping off students are mindful of students leaving and entering the garage via Community way to ensure equitable access.

Biking

CCV has installed vertical mounts and traditional spaces for our students that commute via bicycle or scooter. Our bike racks are located next to the Main Entrance, uncovered; and on Community Way, under the carport, where they are protected from inclement weather. Please do not chain bikes to trees, handrails, fire hydrants, or objects other than bike racks on campus. CCV does not provide bike locks or chains; students must provide their own.

Winooski Galleries

Mission
These galleries are designed to act as an academic forum for the display of new ideas. Their ultimate purpose is to expose CCV students and the greater Winooski community to contemporary artists, their art, and processes. Artists will display their work for a semester and may be invited to give a community slide lecture demonstrating their artistic process, emphasizing the use of materials, fundamentals of design, and importance of the foundations to developing artists.

Current Exhibitions

• 1st Floor Gallery:  Zoie Anastasia’s paintings explore portraiture and landscape by creating shimmering holographic-like images resulting in stream-of-consciousness soft, blurry naturescapes.

We continue to enjoy the fact that local galleries and museums are part of a map that is printed and distributed throughout Burlington and Winooski each month. Our galleries are listed on the map, and we know this has encouraged more foot traffic through our galleries. Look for the latest copy by the Winooski Reception desk.
