CCV Celebrates First-Gen Students
Jenna Gilblair chose CCV for financial reasons. “It was just so much more affordable than all the other colleges in the area, so it was hands down my first choice.” But once she was at CCV, she found that there was far more to like about the College. For one thing: “The community. When you’re a part of CCV there’s this huge network of support and kindness and motivation.”
An ‘Invaluable’ Education
As a mom of six, Ginny had always envisioned herself going to college when she was done raising her children. She suffered a back injury when her youngest child was still in middle school, prompting her to go back to school sooner than she’d planned. In her mid-forties, she “had to re-learn what I was going to be when I grew up.” CCV was her first step.
