As a front-line employee in the manufacturing sector, you know that the skills you have can translate into better positions and better pay. That’s why the Manufacturing Skill Standards Council (MSSC) developed the Certified Production Technician (CPT) program and why CCV offers it. Our CPT certification is an industry-recognized credential that sets you apart in the manufacturing field. Whether you’re an entry-level employee or working at the supervisory level, CPT certification means you’ve mastered the skills, can do the work, and are committed to your work in manufacturing. Moreover, CPT certification means you’ll qualify for higher-wage jobs and positions with stronger room for growth. The program consists of the following courses and credentials:

  • Principles of Manufacturing (3 credits)
    • Safety
    • Quality Practices & Measurement
  • Manufacturing Technology (3 credits)
    • Manufacturing Processes & Production
    • Maintenance Awareness
  • Green Production

CPT credits can be applied toward a STEM Studies degree.

CCV’s CPT program is a significant investment in your future. Upon successful completion, you’ll receive a certification that demonstrates to potential employers that you have the knowledge and skills needed for a manufacturing job, increased job stability and earning power, and a nationally-recognized credential that you can take with you wherever you go.
