Methods

Methods used by the institution to determine eligibility for HEERF student grants:

  • Method 1: Students self-certify via an electronic application their need for financial aid grants. For HEERF II, students were eligible for the Spring 2021 and Summer 2021 terms, and could receive up to the maximum as determined by enrollment level and need.
  • Method 2: On June 14, 2021, federal Pell Grant recipients were identified. Students with a 0-1,000 EFC, if they hadn’t been awarded HEERF funds for that term yet, were awarded a block grant of $550. Those with an EFC of 1001-3000 were awarded $500, and those that were remaining Pell Grant recipients received a block grant of $450. Additionally, students that did not hit these minimums previously by their HEERF II awards were brought up to these amounts.
