Transfer Pathways & Agreements

CCV has special transfer pathways and agreements with many colleges and universities. These agreements, sometimes referred to as articulation agreements, help students continue on to a bachelor’s degree program. Our pathways and agreements provide a seamless and efficient route toward continuing your education beyond an associate degree.

Vermont State Colleges System

The Vermont State Colleges System includes Castleton University, the Community College of Vermont, Northern Vermont University, and Vermont Technical College. The VSCS Direct Admissions Program gives CCV students guaranteed admission to more than 50 bachelor’s degree programs at these sister institutions. Students can apply for admission to a bachelor’s program at any time during their academic career at CCV, and the Direct Admissions course maps ensure that every class taken applies to both a CCV associate degree and VSCS bachelor’s degree.

Castleton University

As members of the Vermont State Colleges System, Castleton and CCV share a common course transcript. The Direct Admissions and degree program pathways mean that all CCV credits are accepted at Castleton and are applied directly to a student’s bachelor’s degree program as appropriate. Students wishing to transfer to a Castleton program that is not part of Direct Admissions should talk with their CCV advisor.

Scholarships
CCV associate degree graduates who transfer to Castleton will automatically receive the Castleton Transfer Success Scholarship.
