- Local Teacher Talks About Going from Ecuador to the NEK | Newport Daily Express CCV alumnus Gerardi Ortiz came to the US from Ecuador in the 1990s. He attended CCV and learned English, continued on to Johnson State College (now VTSU), and followed in his mother’s footsteps becoming a teacher.
- An International Food Festival in Winooski Celebrates Student Roots | Seven Days CCV-Winooski’s 22nd annual International Food Festival was held on April 10 showcasing ethnic dishes made by students, staff, faculty and community members to share their cultures.
- KeyBank bolsters business banking division with appointment of relationship manager | Mainebiz CCV alumna Holly O’Brien has been hired as a relationship manager for business banking at KeyBank.
- Vermont By Degrees: Education that works for everyone | Times Argus VSAC Chancellor Beth Mauch’s editorial in the Times Argus’ “Vermont by Degrees” series highlights the flexible, affordable education offered at CCV and VTSU.
- Hundreds of students meet with health care professionals at UVMHN career fair | Vermont Business UVMMC has established a LNA to RN pathway program for their employees through a partnership with CCV. This job, and many other health care roles, was highlighted at the health care career fair in April.
- CCV Dean of Enrollment and Community Relations Katie Mobley serves as a member on the Vermont Baby Bonds Advisory Committee, looking into developing a baby bonds pilot program.
