- Vermont’s Tech Hub receives $23.7 million from U.S. EDA: What’s next Vermont’s Gallium Nitride (V-GaN) Tech Hub was awarded $23.7 million in federal funding to advance GaN-related products. CCV will partner with the V-GaN Training, Innovation, Design, and Engineering project.
- Explore your future for free with CCV and 802Opportunity – VTDigger The 802 Opportunity grant is available to Vermonters with a family income of $75,000 or less who do not have a bachelor’s degree.
- College helps massage therapist expand into mental health counseling – VTDigger CCV student Jared Green is utilizing the 802 Opportunity grant to switch careers from massage therapy to mental health counseling.
- Turkish-inspired restaurant Kismet brings spice to Burlington CCV alumnus Serkan Cetin opened a restaurant, Kismet Mediterranean Grill, in Burlington with his family with the goal of bringing flavors of Turkey to Vermont.
- Rural Vermont Hospital Combats Workforce Shortages with ‘Earn-and-Learn’ Opportunities | AHA Multiple Vermont hospitals are participating in CCV’s Career Pathway Entry Program (CPEP), offering earn-while-you-learn opportunities in healthcare.
- Boys & Girls Club offers free college visits | Education | reformer.com The Boys and Girls Club of Brattleboro is hosting trips to local colleges for area teenagers, which will include a trip to CCV-Brattleboro on February 19.

- Matthew Grenier joins CNB as Information Security Officer – Newport Dispatch CCV alumnus Matthew Grenier has been hired as the Information Security Officer at Community National Bank. Matthew earned an associate degree in information technology from CCV.
- AAUW scholarship recipients pursue studies | Education | reformer.com CCV student Sarahann Byler received a scholarship from the Brattleboro branch of the American Association of University Women last spring.
- SVMC’s Learning Tree Childcare Center Recognized / iBerkshires.com – The Berkshires online guide to events, news and Berkshire County community information. The Learning Tree Childcare Center at SVMC earned 5 stars from Vermont’s Step Ahead Recognition System. The childcare center’s staff utilizes the Northern Lights Career Ladder at CCV, offering learning and professional development.
- CCV and the Vermont Department of Corrections are expanding the Corrections Post-Secondary Education Initiative (CPSEI). The program offers free college courses to DOC staff and incarcerated Vermonters, and now expands to offer re-entry vouchers to any Vermonter ending a carceral sentence or continuing their education upon release.
