With funding from an anonymous donor, CCV is awarding scholarships to 10 students enrolled in either Focused Portfolio Development (FPD) or Assessment of Prior Learning (APL). This scholarship will cover the full cost of tuition and fees for the course and is intended for early childhood educators with at least one year of experience in the field who are pursuing the CCV associate of arts in Early Childhood Education.
Candidates for APL should have 5 or more years of work experience in any field. Candidates for FPD should have at least 2-3 years of work experience in any field. Students must possess college-level reading and writing skills and be able to access course resources online.
Upon successful completion of the portfolio course, scholarship recipients will be eligible for additional scholarship funding for three academic years, or 6 semesters, as long as students enroll continuously from fall to spring each year for at least 6 credits per semester.
