- Windham’s Linda Alvarez wins 2026 Vermont Teacher of the Year award CCV instructor Linda Albarez has been named the 2026 Vermont Teacher of the Year. Alvarez is a business and entrepreneurship teacher at Windham Regional Career Center, member of the Windham Southeast Supervisory Union Special Education Parent Advisory Council, instructor at VTSU, and a Future Business Leaders of America advisor.
- CCV is a community partner of the 2025 Veterans Town Hall events. These events spaced across Vermont this November allow veterans to share their experience serving in the military.
- Vermont State Colleges leaders provide system update | Local News | timesargus.com The VSCS gathered at CCV-Rutland to provide an update on the status of the system, which includes both CCV and VTSU. Strengthened CCV to VTSU and workforce pathways were highlighted.
- From island heat to Vermont snow: How VSAC’s GEAR UP helped OJ find his future – VTDigger CCV alum OJ Daring completed the Early College program at CCV, which gave him the boost he needed to double major at Champlain College. OJ is majoring in film and finance and sees his opportunities post-graduation as endless.
- Vermont State Colleges to host McNair Undergraduate Research Symposium | Vermont Business Magazine The VSCS hosted its annual Undergraduate Research Symposium, an event that celebrated student research and academic achievement. Twenty five student presenters were featured, including students from CCV.
- CCV and the J. Warren and Lois McClure Foundation have extended the Free Degree Promise to include students in Vermont high school classes of 2027-2028. The Free Degree Promise provides students who complete CCV’s Early College program during their senior year of high school with the opportunity to complete a second year at CCV for free the year after high school graduation, earning an associate degree at no cost.
