- CCV courses began in Vermont correctional facilities in the summer and fall semesters, providing free post-secondary education to Corrections staff and incarcerated Vermonters.
- Vermont students were awarded more than $2.1 million in scholarships from The Curtis Fund for the 2023-2024 academic year. Among these is The Curtis Fund Commitment: A Comprehensive Scholarship for Early Childhood Educators, which provides a full scholarship to 16 students pursuing an early childhood certificate at CCV.

- 5 ways VSAC helps you find funding for education & training – VTDigger The 802 Opportunity Grant will continue through the 2024-2025 academic year, offering Vermonters with a family income of $75,000 or less a tuition-free education at CCV.
- Northwestern Medical Center’s nursing apprentices start classes | Local News | samessenger.com The Northwestern Medical Center (NMC) welcomed its first cohort of employees into the nursing apprenticeship program. This program is made possible through a partnership between NMC, Vermont Talent Pipeline, VTSU, CCV, and VSAC.
- Shaftsbury’s John Dell’Anno heads back to school – VTDigger CCV student John Dell’Anno started taking classes at the College in 2019 and is now one of the first participants in the RN Pipeline Pathway Program at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center (SVMC). This program is offered through a partnership between VSAC, Vermont Business Roundtable, VTSU, CCV, VSAC, and SVMC.
- CCV student Rheanna Pare received the 2023 Jesse M. Corum IV Scholarship for $2,500. This is a Brattleboro Rotary Gateway Foundation scholarship awarded to address the shortage of child care workers in Windham County.
- Montgomery-based educator earns excellence award from CCV | Schools | samessenger.com CCV instructor Gail Marlene Schwartz received the 2023 Teaching Excellence Award along with faculty members Health Fuller and Norm Whittle. Faculty are nominated by CCV students, staff, and faculty, and awardees are chosen by Academic Council.
