• Local Actor Casey Metcalfe Appears in ‘Champions’ With Woody Harrelson | Film | Seven Days | Vermont’s Independent Voice (sevendaysvt.com) CCV student Casey Metcalfe starred in the new movie Champions, which is about a basketball team whose players have developmental disabilities. Casey, who has autism, stars as one of the players on the team.
• Letter to the editor: Bridport’s Suzanne Buck has earned another term – Addison Independent In a letter to the editor, the writer expresses their support for CCV-Middlebury coordinator of student advising Suzanne Buck to serve another term on the Addison Central School District (ACSD) Board.
• Five teachers: Students could really benefit from a personal finance course – VTDigger CCV has partnered with some Vermont high schools to offer a personal finance course where students can receive college credit.
• Mary Zompetti’s Photographs Revisit Time and Place | Visual Art | Seven Days | Vermont’s Independent Voice (sevendaysvt.com) An exhibition of photographs titled “Time and Again: Psychogeographic Meditations on Place” by former CCV faculty member Mary Zompetti is featured at NVU-Johnson.
• Vermont’s winning fight against decreasing enrollment (universitybusiness.com) CCV’s partnership with the McClure Foundation, which has allowed the College to offer the McClure Free Degree Promise, is helping to increase enrollment in CCV’s  Early College program.
• Bennington’s Got Talent is a hit | Local News | benningtonbanner.com CCV student Gretchen Sausville won the annual Bennington County’s Got Talent competition and the $1000 grand prize.
• The time is now to do something about the rising cost of college (fastcompany.com) CCV’s two-year degree programs and lowered cost of attendance through philanthropic partnerships are helping CCV increase attendance.
• Get paid to enroll in college? Yes, it’s for real at some community colleges (wgbh.org) SVMC is paying CCV early childhood education students to increase their course load and complete their program sooner.
• SMC’s Noncredit Certified Nursing Assistant & Home Health Aide Certificates Recognized as 2022 Exemplary Programs by NCCET – SM Mirror CCV and VTC’s licensed practical nurse pathway, in partnership with Central Vermont Medical Center, was recognized as a 2022 Exemplary Program.
• CCV student David Budnick named New Century Transfer Scholar | Vermont Business Magazine (vermontbiz.com) CCV student David Budnick is the 2023 New Century Transfer Scholar, receiving a $2,250 scholarship. David is in CCV’s information technology program and plans to attend Columbia University.
• Meet MUHS principal finalists this Thursday – Addison Independent Caitlin Steele, who was a part-time faculty member at CCV-Rutland, is a candidate for principal at Middlebury Union High School. 
• Local students named to colleges’ dean’s list | Community News | benningtonbanner.com Southern Vermont students were named to CCV’s 2022 fall dean’s list.
• Lake George Association appoints environmental educator (poststar.com) CCV faculty member Jaimi DeFeo has been appointed as the manager of the Lake George Association’s new Education for Action programs.
