The Science and Technology Research Initiative for the Vermont Economy (STRIVE) is a U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF) award through the Established Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (EPSCoR). This collaborative partnership between CCV, Landmark College, Bennington College, and the Brattleboro Development Credit Corporation is designed to strengthen Vermont’s STEM education and workforce pipeline through coordinated, high-impact initiatives.

  • Expand internship opportunities so students can apply classroom learning in real-world settings, gaining professional experience and building industry connections.
  • Provide funding opportunities that foster collaborative research ecosystems between higher education institutions, enabling faculty, students, and industry partners to work together on projects with direct relevance to Vermont.
  • Increase access to meaningful, impactful STEM learning for all students, with a focus on equitable participation and long-term career readiness.

Through targeted funding, professional development, and cross-sector collaboration, STRIVE seeks to build a resilient, innovative STEM landscape that benefits Vermont’s communities, economy, and future workforce.
