MONTPELIER, Vt. — The Community College of Vermont (CCV) will offer a new project management certificate beginning in the fall 2025 semester.

The new certificate is one of the College’s 27 certificate programs designed to provide a comprehensive offering of high-value credentials that prepare students for the workplace or further education. This certificate can be completed in just one year and is one of 33 degree and certificate programs that can be completed fully online.

“CCV was inspired to create a certificate in project management to set students up for careers in the high growth field of project management, especially after seeing the popularity of CCV’s offering of the Google Project Management Certificate in 2023,” CCV associate academic dean Jennifer Alberico stated. “In contrast to the Google certificate, students will be able to use financial aid to help with the cost of the new certificate, which allows them to take other college-level courses to expand their educational opportunities.”

CCV administrators are working to embed the Google assessments and assignments into the CCV project management certificate so that students have the added benefit of completing both certifications at the same time.

Certificates at CCV are designed so that students can easily build credits toward an associate degree in a related field. The project management certificate is valuable on its own or as a stepping stone to  CCV’s business or professional studies associate degree programs. The College offers twelve associate of arts and associate of science degrees.

CCV’s fall semester begins September 2nd.
