What is Financial Aid?
Financial aid is money that helps you pay for college expenses such as tuition, books, and fees. Aid can come in several forms:
- Grants: Federal and state grants provide funds that do not need to be repaid.
- Scholarships: Awards based on academic achievement, financial need, or other criteria.
- Loans: Federal student loans that must be repaid after graduation or when you leave school.
- Work-Study: Part-time employment that helps you earn money to cover educational expenses.
Your eligibility for financial aid may depend on factors like financial need, cost of attendance, academic program, and available funds.
