50th Anniversary Portfolio Scholarships

In honor of our 50th anniversary, CCV is awarding scholarships to 50 students enrolled in either Focused Portfolio Development (FPD) or Assessment of Prior Learning (APL) courses. This scholarship is intended for adult students between the ages of 25 and 64. Candidates for APL should have 5 or more years of work experience. Candidates for FPD should have at least 2-3 years of work experience. Students must possess college-level reading and writing skills and be able to access APL resources online. Scholarship recipients will be eligible for a second award of equal value toward another CCV class within a year of completing their portfolio course.


$500 for Spring 2021 AND
$500 for the first CCV course after successful completion of APL (must enroll by Fall 2021)


$250 for Spring 2021 AND
$250 for the first CCV course after successful completion of FPD (must enroll by Fall 2021)

Eligibility requirements:

  • Students must attend an information session in order to be eligible. Information sessions are held twice monthly via Zoom. For the webinar schedule, and to RSVP, visit our PLA webinar calendar.
  • Students receiving tuition benefits from an employer are not eligible for this scholarship
  • Students must have approval from an advisor to enroll in portfolio courses
  • Students must be enrolled at CCV
