CCV’s unique bookkeeping pathway allows you to earn 4 certifications from the National Association of Certified Public Bookkeepers (NACPB) in Bookkeeping, Accounting, QuickBooks Online, and Payroll. You can also advance your knowledge and skill and earn your CCV bookkeeping certificate along with 29 college credits. After documenting 2,000 hours of work experience (or an associate degree in accounting) and earning all four certifications, you can also earn your Certified Public Bookkeeper (CPB) license and place the CPB designation next to your name.

You can choose to take a few courses and earn your NACPB certifications, earn a full college certificate in bookkeeping in addition to your certifications, or earn all of these plus your CPB license and start your own practice. It’s your choice!

Here’s how it works:

  1. Apply to CCV
  2. Work with your advisor to plan your courses
  3. Take the appropriate certification exams when you feel comfortable and add all four of your new certifications to your résumé
  4. (Optional) Submit documentation of 2,000 hours of work experience (or associate degree transcript) to the NACPB and place CPB next to your name. Find the application here.

Upon completion of the CCV bookkeeping certificate, you can apply credits toward CCV’s accounting degree for transfer to a 4-year program. Work toward your CPA, earn an income as a bookkeeper, and build valuable experience and your client base, all at the same time!
