Happy spring! Your CCV Resource Coordinator has assembled some important resources for you:
Thinking of starting a garden?
Did you know that 3SquaresVT food benefits can be used to buy seeds and plants to grow fruits and vegetables?
You can use your monthly benefit to start your garden by purchasing fruit and vegetable seeds and starter plants at any retailer or farmers market that accepts EBT cards. Growing some of your own food is an inexpensive way to put fresh food on your table all summer long.
Want to find a place to garden? Find a community garden near you from the Vermont Community Garden Network, or ask your Resource Coordinator!
Would you like help paying for summer camps or year-round lessons for your kids?
If you live in Franklin County, have children under 21, and are income eligible, you could receive a grant toward paying for summer camps, year-round lessons like piano, ballet, or sports, or even college scholarships from an organization called the Warner Home for Little Wanderers! The deadline for assistance for summer camps is April 1st. See your RC for an application!
Did you know?
You qualify for a subsidy to help pay for child care if your household income is up to $75,300/year for a family of four! And if you live in Burlington, there is an additional Early Learning Scholarship that may be available to pay even more. See your Resource Coordinator for help applying for a subsidy and finding high-quality child care options!
