CCV students are now eligible to join Beta Phi Omicron, the College’s chapter of Phi Theta Kappa. PTK is the official honor society for community colleges as recognized by the American Association of Community Colleges.
Students who excel in college are recognized for their achievements. They’re listed on the President’s and the Dean’s Lists each semester. They position themselves well for earning scholarships and landing internships. And now there’s something more for these academic superstars: an invite to join Phi Theta Kappa.
Here’s what it takes to be PTK:
- Be enrolled as a degree student
- Earn at least 12 credits at CCV
- Have a GPA of 3.7 or above
- Be a current CCV student
It’s not easy, but it’s doable. Just ask the 540 CCV students who will be receiving invites in a few days. Yes, for this initial induction, 540 CCV students have done those four things listed above, and you can too. Start your trek towards academic excellence today. Ask your advisor for more information about PTK, and read up about the benefits of membership on the PTK site.
