Supervisory Leadership Program
This program is designed to provide participants with the skills, knowledge, and behaviors they need in order to become more effective leaders. Participants build a solid foundation of skills that help them understand their supervisory skills with the goal of becoming an effective supervisor. The program connects classroom learning and real world application through targeted classroom instruction, individualized coaching sessions, and on the job supervisory experience. Specific skills covered include supervisory styles and functions, communication and teambuilding, conflict resolution, and problem solving. Eligible employees receive a 40% discount through the Vermont Training Program.
Applied Business Writing
Participants are introduced to the skills and strategies required to present business and professional topics in clear easy-to-read language for a variety of audiences. May include formal and informal reports, instructions, memoranda, letters, resumes, and oral reports. Students will have access to Keytrain for modules and quizzes in Business Writing, and will take the Business Writing WorkKeys assessment at the culmination of the course.
