For Employers

Over the past decade, CCV has worked with businesses from several industry sectors, including manufacturing, healthcare, education, hospitality, childcare, and retail, to create training programs that have helped move those businesses to the next level of success. From leadership and management training programs to use of technology seminars, CCV’s customized workforce training programs deliver positive results that translate into business growth.

Training for Supervisors and Future Leaders

Connect classroom learning and real world application through targeted instruction, individualized coaching, and on-the-job experiences.  Specific skills covered include communication, goal setting, delegation, time management, and the use of technology.  Trainings can be offered through credit-bearing courses, customized leadership programs, or short modularized trainings.

Applied Business Writing

Participants are introduced to the skills and strategies required to present business and professional topics in clear easy-to-read language for a variety of audiences. May include formal and informal reports, instructions, memoranda, letters, resumes, and oral reports. Students will have access to Keytrain for modules and quizzes in Business Writing, and will take the Business Writing WorkKeys assessment at the culmination of the course.

Short Courses, Workshops and Customized Trainings

CCV’s statewide presence, strong online learning capability, and dedication to flexible educational delivery, gives us the ability to design workshops, trainings, and programs that meet the needs of your employees when and where you need it. With delivery at one of our CCV locations or at your place of business during hours that best fit your schedule, we can increase the skill base of your workforce from entry-level through management. We will work together to create a plan based on your specific training needs. Courses can be designed as half- or full-day, or week long trainings to meet your needs.  Topics range from spreadsheets, presentations, and computer software to communication and team building

The Governor’s Career Ready Certificate Program

The Governor’s Career Ready Certificate can help take the guesswork out of your hiring decisions. Using our “Six Point” assessment process we can help identify the strengths and improvement needs of new and potential employees as well as develop a plan for helping you and your employees reach new levels of workplace readiness.

Prior Learning Assessment

Prior Learning Assessment is a cost-effective and time saving approach to earning credits toward a college degree. The Vermont State Colleges offer students excellent and convenient options to request credit for college-level learning and experience gained through work and training, military or community service, online or individual study. This is an especially appealing option for your employees’ advancement within your organization. Special sections of our Assessment of Prior Learning or Focused Portfolio courses can be offered at your place of business at your convenience.
