STEM Opportunities at CCV

As part of a national initiative to prepare students for the jobs of tomorrow, CCV has developed an Associate of Science degree in STEM Studies (STEM is an acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). With careers in these fields growing almost twice as fast as non-STEM occupations, CCV’s goals are to prepare students for highly technical positions in the workforce, or to have them continue on to a four-year degree in a STEM field. Through this program, CCV aims to bring high-skill, high-wage jobs to local communities throughout Vermont.

  • "As I was teaching at CCV I found I was getting the most from my students when we were out in the field – they really responded to that learning style – so I helped to develop classes in the environmental science program that maximize hands-on-learning."
